SKILLED NURSING/COMPLEX CARE

Skilled Nursing / Complex Care

Skilled nursing care is a high level of medical care that must be provided by trained individuals, such as registered nurses, physical, speech, and occupational therapists. These services can be necessary over the short term for rehabilitation from an illness or injury, or they may be required over the long term for patients who need care on a frequent or around-the-clock basis due to a chronic medical condition.

With extensive clinical experience from within the NHS, our clinical team of nurses – each registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council – manage care packages supporting a wide range of clinical conditions. We provide full face-to-face assessments, handpick expertly trained carers and personal assistants, and ensure continuity and co-ordination of care through effective carer and customer partnerships. This includes post-discharge rehabilitation plans, nutrition and physiotherapy.

From supporting people with progressive neurological conditions through to an acquired brain or spinal cord injury, our registered nurses have specialisms in tracheostomy care, ventilator care, gastrostomy and complex continence needs, including catheter and stoma care. We place a special focus on the individual, developing safe and tailored care packages that enable independent living.

Lord’s care offer a continuous service with ongoing support and extra clinical training as required. Fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission, we deliver outcomes to individuals whose needs are often deemed too difficult to support at home.
